It ‘simply hasn’t been a nice week’ for the pair, according to an insider.
After losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 40–22 on Sunday, February 9, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce hasn’t been having a good time lately.
In addition to his team losing the much-awaited championship game, he also had to cope with his girlfriend Taylor Swift getting a fair amount of criticism throughout the match after the jumbotron panned to her, causing the audience to erupt in jeering applause.
As if things couldn’t get much worse, US President Donald Trump decided to make fun of the issue, which made Swift look unhappy and apparently didn’t sit well with Kelce.
According to a Kelce insider who spoke to the MailOnline, Travis felt powerless when he saw Taylor being jeered. It affected him to see the expression on her face.
“It devastated him that he always shields her. The fact that most of the stadium’s patrons were Eagles supporters made his already difficult evening even worse. Anyone can see that this hurt her, and Travis is aware of it.
The informant went on to say: “It’s clear to many that the Eagles fans feel she is a traitor of sorts – being from Pennsylvania and even wearing Eagles gear prior to dating him.”
They also addressed Trump’s reaction to the jeering of Taylor.

“Trump receives tremendous applause at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift is jeered,” the 78-year-old Republican leader said on his social media platform, Truth Social, in a post that marked the first time a sitting American president has attended the major athletic event.
“The world is healing!”
“Only Taylor Swift had a more difficult night than the Kansas City Chiefs,” he wrote in a subsequent post. She left the stadium after being booed.
“MAGA is very unforgiving!”
The MailOnline source went on to respond to such remarks, saying: “Travis feels that Trump didn’t need to make fun of her, especially after he said that it was an honor for a president to be present.”
“It hasn’t been a good week for them after Travis lost the biggest game of the year and Taylor was disqualified from a Grammy,” they concluded. But he is aware that having her love makes him happy despite the fact that the season is not finishing well.
When questioned about his thoughts on the president’s being at the game before Trump’s “dig,” Kelce described it as a “great honor.”
“I believe, you know, regardless of the president, I am thrilled because it’s the most important game of my life, and having the president there, you know, it’s the best country in the world,” he added. That would be really awesome, then.
Tyla had already requested response from Travis Kelce’s agents.
