In a remote area of Victoria’s highlands, two women’s bodies have been found.
Two other hikers found the awful scene outside Cleve Cole Hut, which is near Lendenfeld Point in Nelse, just before 1 p.m. on Friday. They called for help right away.
The hikers called Triple Zero, and police officers, the Search & Rescue Squad, and the police Air Wing quickly proceeded to the remote spot.
The two women, who are assumed to be in their 20s or 30s, have not yet been publicly named.
Detectives assume they might have gone to the picturesque alpine country to hike and camp.
The police claim there are no missing women in the region, but they need the public’s aid to find the two.
Specialist cops will stay overnight because the weather is poor and getting there is hard.
They should be able to receive the bodies back on Saturday.

Two bodies were found near Cleve Cole Hut, a popular hiking spot in Victoria.

The police think that the two people who were hiking are probably women in their 20s or 30s.
Right now, the detectives don’t think the deaths are peculiar.
The police said that the event has nothing to do with the search for Dezi Freeman, who is considered to be a gunman and has been missing since August 26.
People last saw Freeman at Porepunkah, which is around 70 kilometers from Nelse.
