Love and trust are the foundation of a better family, but occasionally there are secrets beneath the surface. Years-old secrets can suddenly surface, changing people’s preconceived notions about their loved ones. We will gather true accounts of unexpected partnerships in this post, including long-suppressed betrayals, unexpected revelations, and the unnerving moment when all became evident.
Story 1:
I remember watching my father kiss women I saw for the first time when I was about seven years old. I didn’t care because I was accustomed to believing that a passionate kiss was little more than a typical good-bye kiss on the cheek.
While he was kissing a woman, my father noticed me and approached me, giving me $20 for simply standing there. I was deeply saddened when, a few years later, I discovered what he was actually doing. © Reddit / Lasok-Yt
Tale No. 2:

We learned that my parents were forced to give up their child and end their relationship by their parents when they were 15 years old. My sister was born four years after my mother’s 18th birthday, and they were married when I was born.
When we found out we had an elder complete brother, I was 24 years old. We still haven’t met him after ten years of learning about it. Through Reddit, © ifindthishumerus

Story 4: I used to imagine that I was going to see my grandfather at work when I was younger. His “work clothes” turned out to be a jail uniform, as I later discovered out.
There’s a twist to the tale: my grandma still lives with the man she jailed after cheating on him with the sheriff. Copyright Reddit/Plumerian
Story 5: My dad found out he had a sister after none of my grandparents on his side had survived. His discovery of her birth certificate occurred as he was cleaning out my grandparents’ flat. He discovered after doing some investigation that he had a sister with a serious mental illness.
My grandparents apparently weren’t ready to raise a child with her needs. Regretfully, they can no longer be questioned. My father learned about his sister when he was forty-six. © Reddit and_of_four

Narrative 7:
When I was five years old, my mother would never get out of bed and would always claim to be ill. After a while, my stepdad took her to the hospital, where she spent over a month. I thought it was fantastic that her hospital allowed her to do crafts all the time. After she recovered, she began making projects with me at home.
I recall telling her that I wished I could spend my days drawing in the hospital. “I hope I never get sick like she did,” she said as she sat me down. But if I do, there’s nothing wrong with needing aid to recover, even if that means spending some time away from home.
I didn’t know I didn’t want to get out of bed myself until I was around thirteen, when I finally recognized the institution she had visited was a mental health facility. I’ve never felt guilty about seeking therapy when things are getting out of hand or even just to have a positive outlook, though, thanks to her. © Reddit/Kenda1l
Tale No. 8:

Due to the fact that my parents and grandparents are divorcing and despise one another, my great-grandparents were my sole romantic role models in high school. Subsequently, my mother informs me that one of my grandmother’s sisters is different from the rest since my great-grandmother had an affa:ir. And so that’s it. Copyright Symnestra/Reddit

Tale 10:

When my daughter was seven years old, she like her dad’s pasta and enjoyed having sleepovers at her friend Tia’s house. There, my wife insisted on taking her every time.
She halted abruptly and announced that they had moved. My child went pale and remarked, “Mom always li:ed,” when I brought up Tia nine years later. She was having an affair with Tia’s father, and she actually used my sleepovers as a pretext to visit him.
My world fell apart at that very instant. I never thought my wife would start seeing someone else, even though we were going through a difficult time together at the time. The most unpleasant aspect? She had visited her lover using our daughter as a pretense.
My daughter pleaded with me to put the past behind us and to move on from what she had told me. But I was unable to. I went to my wife and asked for a divorce.

Story 12:
I was the only student at age 6 to receive school photos. I thought it was unfair that my teacher gave everyone pictures except for me. My parents ended up being unable to pay for school photos. Reddit © Jondonbovi
