Schiff’s Effort to Block Kash Patel at FBI Building Falls Short

Just hours before the full Senate confirmed him, President Donald Trump appointed Kash Patel as the new director of the FBI. Sen. Adam Schiff took the extremely uncommon step of visiting the FBI headquarters building in Washington, D.C., this week to express his disapproval of the appointment.

When the California Democrat, along by roughly six other members of his party, made derogatory remarks to the media about Patel, detractors noted that his obviously political behavior was further embarrassing and dishonoring him.

Schiff stated, “We cannot trust this individual.” “This person lacks the integrity and character necessary to perform this job.”

Several people, including Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, commented on social media after his comments that Schiff’s actions show that he realized Patel, the person who first discovered the “Trump-Russia collusion” hoax, is well aware of the California Democrat’s involvement in spreading that falsehood, even turning it into one of two impeachment cases during Trump’s first term.

According to some, Schiff received a preemptive pardon from former President Joe Biden in order to cover up possibly illegal acts.

Nevertheless, upon his confirmation, Patel thanked the president and said he was eager to “get to work” in a post on his X account.

“Being confirmed as the ninth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation is an honor for me. Patel expressed gratitude to President Trump and Attorney General Bondi for their steadfast trust and assistance.

The FBI has a rich history, ranging from protecting our country after 9/11 to the “G-Men.” “The American public deserves an FBI that is open, responsible, and dedicated to justice,” he added.

Public trust in our legal system has been damaged by its politics, but that will stop today. Rebuilding confidence in the FBI and allowing good officers to be cops are my two main goals as director. Together with our partners and the hardworking men and women of the Bureau, we will rebuild an FBI of which the American people can be proud,” he continued.

And to those who would do harm to Americans, use this as a warning. Everywhere on this earth, we shall pursue you. First, mission. Always America. Come on, let’s work,” Patel wrote.

At CPAC this week, Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked for a response and sent Patel a congratulatory X message, celebrating his confirmation.

Bondi remarked, “Kash is very committed to rebuilding the FBI’s reputation, and I look forward to working closely with him to end violent crime, protect our national security, and make America safe again.”

Last Monday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) stated that Democrats, particularly Schiff, “fear” that Patel will take over the FBI since he knows they were involved in Russiagate.

Blackburn said on Sunday on “Fox & Friends” that “I think, too, they are very afraid of Kash Patel, because Kash Patel knows what Adam Schiff and some of the others did with Russia collusion, and they know that he knows — the dirt on them, if you will — and I think they’re afraid of what he’s going to do and what he’s going to reveal.”
