Kendrick Lamar Surprises Fans with Unforgettable Performance at the Super Bowl

During his halftime show today, many were wondering if Kendrick Lamar would have the audacity to perform a single song.

Following an unexpected performance of his contentious diss track against Drake, Kendrick Lamar stunned Super Bowl viewers.

Despite the fact that ‘Not Like Us’ was recently the focus of a widely reported lawsuit, many had been wondering if he would have the guts to sing it during his halftime today.

After Universal Music Group published the diss track, Drake filed a lawsuit against the label for defamation and harassment. His attorneys claimed that the firm was initiating a “campaign to create a viral hit” because Lamar calls the 38-year-old a “certified p**dophile,” a charge that Drake has consistently refuted.

When he took the field at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Lamar did not let anyone down.

He rapped, “Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young / You better not ever go to cell block one,” as people all across the world gasped. He did, however, exclude the diss track’s most contentious line.

As one fan put it on Twitter: “HE SAID THE F**KING VERSE? I saw a draught on the floor.

“Kendrick really out here calling out Drake at the Super Bowl,” another person commented.

Another wrote: “Kendrick Lamar is cooking Drake in front of the world at the Super Bowl right now.”

Another said, “Lmaoooooo the way he looked at the camera before that ‘hey Drake’.”

Many fans had hoped that he would play the diss track during his set, but some were certain that he would surprise Drake with an appearance.

“Kendrick is going to bring out a driver,” someone conjectured.

Another replied: “Now all I need is Kendrick to bring out Drake and then I can be happy about this matchup lol.”

Like any other Super Bowl performer, Lamar has a set of guidelines to follow.

The first step in making the medley format work is to shorten the songs. “You’re just running around for 13 minutes, trying to put like a two-hour set for 13 minutes,” 2023 star Rihanna stated during a publicity event.

Rapper M.I.A. learned the hard way that when she gave the middle finger during her performance with Super Bowl XLVI headlining act Madonna, she was fined $16.6 million. Inappropriate gestures can also land artists in serious trouble because explicit language is not permitted during the halftime show.

No matter the weather, the performance must go on, and performers must be prepared to take the stage in just six minutes.
