When trolls accused Jennifer Love Hewitt of being “fake” in a selfie she shared on social media earlier this month, she didn’t mince words.
Online fans quickly criticized the Ghost Whisperer actress for her altered appearance when she was spotted in an Instagram photo that her hairstylist, Nikki Lee, posted.
Jennifer had dyed her hair a rich, dark brown and cut it into a bob. “It was time to spice things up,” her stylist wrote as the photo’s description.
Fans of the 44-year-old were prepared to respond, as is customary when a star makes changes to their appearance. Some of them attempted to denigrate Love Hewitt by asserting that she had had cosmetic surgery, but most of them were nice.
The actress, who became well-known after appearing in I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997), was called “unrecognizable” by some.
Love Hewitt chose to reply to her criticisms by posting a number of pictures that implied she had undergone cosmetic surgery, even though it is customary for celebrities to just ignore their skeptics and critics in these circumstances.
The actress wrote, “So many people told me I looked different.”
“I look just like I always do. couldn’t appear more authentic. This is how I woke up. You are not truly altered by filters.
Hewitt’s face was obviously subjected to a number of filters in the cheeky pictures. The actress advised everyone to be polite when leaving comments on other people’s photos, regardless of how inflated they may be.
“Let people be filtered or unfiltered,” she wrote at the end of her post. Be kind. Show kindness. Share the love.

Love Hewitt’s looks was scrutinized earlier this year after she posted a picture of herself on her 44th birthday.
“I woke up at 4 a.m. and I was forty-four!”She wrote, “I am extremely thankful, fortunate, content, occasionally self-conscious about growing older, a mother of three amazing children, married to the most amazing and attractive man, and really looking forward to what this year holds for us.”
“I love magic, and I sense it in the air.” I’m thankful to my mother for bringing me into the world and heading out to work. I really do miss you. After finishing my work, I’ll celebrate my birthday. P.S. Atticus sang me a happy birthday song after waking up far too early! My heart melted. I hope everyone has a wonderful day. My birthday must be celebrated! ❤️.
A lot of admirers and followers commented, astonished at the former child star’s transformation.

“I didn’t recognize JLH; there wasn’t even a similarity, so I thought they were mistaken when I saw this picture in an article.”One user wrote, “I came to Instagram to double-check, and I’m shocked.”
Another individual said, “I’m so confused. Why isn’t she looking like herself?”
A third said, “That’s not her.” “That isn’t possible.”
