Hearts Are Heavy as TikTok Star Joules Smith Is Remembered by Fans and Family

“You are our little dancing queen, and we love you!” Joules Smith’s parents paid their respects to their six-year-old daughter, who died following a battle with a brain tumor.

On social media, the distraught father shared the news that Joules had died in her parents’ bed.

In a video, father Joe said, “We haven’t been on social media for the last couple weeks [because] we had to spend every single second with our beautiful princess Joules.” He also added, “We didn’t leave that little girl’s side,” as she was nearing the end of her childhood.

Joules’ parents revealed her diagnosis to her fans on May 27 after she passed away on December 9, 2024.

Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG), a brain tumor in the brainstem that affects youngsters between the ages of five and seven, was the diagnosis made for her.

Joule’s cancer was declared “incurable” and she was given just nine months to live, according to the GoFundMe page.

When the family first observed that their daughter was acting strangely, they rushed her to King’s College Hospital in London, where they discovered that the lump in her brain was an aggressive disease.

Her final months of life were made unforgettable by their commitment to spending every moment with her.

Fans of Joules created the Dancing for Joules trend on TikTok by posting videos of themselves dancing in an effort to raise awareness of children’s grave illnesses.

The father of Joules added, “Please, if you are going to do anything, please let’s carry on dancing for our beautiful little Joules because I know she would still be dancing.” He also pledged to keep up the dance even after his daughter passed away.

Medical professionals informed Joe’s followers that Joules didn’t have much time left a month before she passed away.

We have been able to offer her the best five or six months she has ever experienced, he said, adding, “They have given us the possibility of weeks.” Regretfully, our voyage will soon come to an end.

Esha and Joe are grateful to everyone who helped them during the last few months as their daughter fought cancer.

“We are heartbroken, but so proud of your princess, who made the world a better place,” mom Esha wrote on Instagram.

We are saddened by the passing of Joules Smith, a young TikTok star.

The bereaved family is in our prayers and thoughts during these trying times.
