Fans were taken aback when Kelly Clarkson and Garth Brooks sang a stunning duet of Shallow, the hit song from A Star Is Born that was made popular by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

In 2019, Kelly Clarkson stunned audiences at her “Meaning of Life” performance in Green Bay, Wisconsin, with a stunning rendition of the 2018 Grammy and Golden Globe-winning song “Shallow,” which was first performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in the popular movie A Star is Born.

Regarding Gaga, who co-wrote the song for the love film in which she costarred with Cooper, Clarkson, 42, remarked, “This chick is amazing.”

“I adore this song.Since I obviously don’t have a Bradley Cooper here, we’re performing our own rendition of the song “Shallow,” which I felt she and Cooper did a fantastic job on.

Clarkson went on, “I hope I don’t suck, and if I do, I hope she doesn’t see it,” People reported.

Her “effortless vocals” were hailed by millions of fans who watched her cover.

She performs it as if she wrote it herself! One admirer comments on Clarkson’s YouTube video, “Beautiful.”

“This cover still chills me out.” One says, “It’s just the best,” and another makes a joke, asking whether there’s a Grammy category for covers. You performed admirably, Kelly.

Jam session
After a few years, country music legend Garth Brooks visited the Kelly Clarkson Show and joined the presenter for a jam session.

The singer of “Dive Bar” first discussed with Clarkson his 2020 duet with his wife, Trisha Yearwood, titled “Shallow.”

“I witnessed you guys doing this [on Facebook] live in the moment. You were performing a live action. Did it all begin that way? The “Fun” song is a highlight of Brooks’ record, the American Idol star asks her guest.

“Someone asked that he and his wife sing the duet on his Facebook Live show,” says Brooks, who turned sixty-three on February 7.

I was like, ‘Oh, crap,’ because Miss Yearwood was doing it right. Using his guitar to pluck sections from the song, Brooks remarked, “I’ve seen the movie; it’s pretty cool.”

“You’re invited inside…Clarkson exclaims, “I adore it.”

“Wonderful”
The country music icon then asks her to join in on the song. “I wish I could hear you sing,” he remarked.

“I’d adore joining you in singing it. Sorry, Trisha,” she said in jest. “If you were here, I would sing three parts, but you’re not.”

The singer looked directly into the camera after the amazing performance, and he said to his wife, “Miss Yearwood Before turning away and remarking, “That was fantastic!” I didn’t like it.

“Musical chemistry”
The performance was forceful but personal. Together, Clarkson’s soaring vocals and Brooks’ distinctive storytelling style produced a rendition of “Shallow” that was both unvarnished and genuine.
