The plane disaster occurred yesterday at Toronto Pearson International Airport.
One of the survivors of the Delta Air Lines disaster in Toronto posted a horrifying photo that was shot shortly after the plane went down.
Delta Flight 4819 crashed on the runway after departing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, while heading to the Canadian city. 18 of the 76 passengers and 4 staff members were hospitalized for their injuries, however it has since been reported that everyone was safely evacuated from the aircraft.
As of right now, Delta has confirmed on its website that all of the injured passengers have been released from the hospital.
“Toronto Pearson is aware of a Delta Airlines plane arriving from Minneapolis that had an incident upon landing. There are emergency personnel on the scene. The airport confirmed the collision in a statement, saying all passengers and crew are safe.

Since then, social media has been filled with footage of the horrific aftermath of the crash, including a passenger’s selfie of herself inside the upside-down cabin.
User Ashley Zook posted a number of videos from the aftermath on Snapchat, one of which showed her strapped into her seat with what appeared to be an upside-down position.
“I was just in an airplane accident. She may be heard saying, “Oh my god,” in the video.
On his Facebook page, passenger John Nelson also posted video from the aftermath, showing people leaving the aircraft as it was doused with foam.
He can be heard saying in the video, “Most people are going to be okay, we’re all getting off, there’s some smoke going on,” and he captioned the video to claim that he was “ok” following the event.
Although the cause of the crash is still unknown, video taken by passengers who survived the flight indicates that one of the wings was missing.
“The hearts of the entire global Delta family are with those affected by today’s incident at Toronto-Pearson International Airport,” stated Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta, in a spokesperson.

“I would like to thank the several members of the Endeavor and Delta teams as well as the first responders who were present. We are in the process of verifying the information and will promptly provide the most up-to-date details. Please be cautious and safe in the interim.
According to the BBC, Deborah Flint of the Greater Toronto Airports Authority remarked, “We are very grateful there was no loss of life and relatively minor injuries.”
At the moment, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada is in charge of the inquiry.
“The NTSB is leading a team of U.S. investigators to assist the Transportation Safety Board of Canada with their investigation of today’s accident of a Delta Air Lines Bombardier CRJ900 at Toronto Pearson International Airport,” said the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States.
“Per international protocols under the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s Annex 13, any information about the investigation will be released by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada.”
