Donald Trump is always straight forward and during a passionate moment on Capitol Hill, he gave the internet another well-known one-liner.
Referring to Tuesday’s (May 20) meeting as “a beautiful bill with the Republicans,” the former president talked with reporters afterwards. However, the dramatic change started when a journalist put forward a clear question — and gave away his involvement.
The reporter asked, “Is that what Andy Harris meant, that you weren’t able to sway enough people to vote for the bill?”
Before replying, Trump wanted to know who the reporter worked for. When the reporter said “NOTUS,” the president quickly answered.
“Who? I have no idea what that is supposed to mean. Try finding a real job.”

NOTUS is a nonprofit media organization based in Washington DC which introduces itself as “a new Washington publication from the nonprofit, nonpartisan Allbritton Journalism Institute.”
The publication, made possible thanks to the support of grants and donors, values covering U.S. politics with a mix of established and upcoming journalists.
Nevertheless, Trump didn’t like it and neither did his critics.
Many people reacted to the clip after it became popular on Twitter (X). One person commented: “I’m not sure how many more bangers I can take.”
A person said: ”Perhaps Putin should be addressed like that sometime”.
Another person said: “The way Trump treated the NOTUS reporter highlights his scorn for small media organizations.”
Some people chose to write simply, “Classic Trump.”
A fourth added: ”That reporter’s career was ended in just a single sentence by Trump. That is the real reason fake news detests him. He publicizes them to everyone in the country.

In the beginning, he seemed rather bothered — however, not long after, he raised his eyebrows and found it all quite funny.
People may disagree with Trump, but his off-the-cuff statements always get attention. Whether he’s joking about media or catching mistakes in real time, he knows how to keep his show exciting.
