Marriage is a life-changing event in which we pledge to our partner for eternity. However, a variety of things can undermine this happiness, with infidelity being a prevalent problem that can emerge at any stage of a relationship.
A couple who had been together for many years was getting ready to celebrate their wedding day, which was supposed to be the bride’s happiest day. Unfortunately, the night before the wedding, she received an unexpected text message that changed everything.
Casey, a bridesmaid for an anonymous wedding, got suspicious of the bride’s fiancé, Alex, after receiving many messages from an unknown number while drinking.
The person sent her screen captures and said, “Would you marry him?”
The messages painted a bad picture of Alex. He seems to have been in a relationship with another woman before his wedding.
You and I have made a plan for this weekend. It will be exciting. Make sure to bring your finest abilities.
“Your physique is f**king amazing. Do you know how to utilize it? Another person wrote, “I wish my girlfriend had half of your skills.”
A third text stated, “I miss you so much. I can’t quit thinking about L,S, and F’ing you. I have never had this kind of relationship before.”
“I burst into shamed and broken tears,” Casey said. “My girls threatened him with various forms of violence. They insisted I call him right now and cancel the wedding.
She wrote, “But I loved Alex. I intended to marry Alex tomorrow. I couldn’t be furious because I was so startled and heartbroken. I did not give him a call.
“Eventually, we attempted to go to bed. I didn’t sleep a wink, and when dawn eventually dawned, I woke the girls and informed them my decision: I was going to go forward with the wedding as planned, and ‘out’ him in front of our friends and family.
Instead of delivering her vows, she decided to exact retribution by reading the text messages aloud to all of the wedding guests.
She said, “It appears Alex is not who I thought he was. I adore all of you, and as bad as this is, I’m pleased you’re all here.
“There will not be a wedding reception today, but instead, there will be a celebration of honesty, finding true love and following your heart even when it hurts.”
The groom’s face paled as blood poured down, revealing his private messages to everyone. He stormed out of the church, and his best man followed him.
At the end, Casey responded: “It was certainly not the wedding day I had planned but to our credit, it was one he** of a party.”
I’m sure they had a party that evening!
