While she was riding her bike, two pit bulls mauled her and had to have her limbs surgically amputated.
Reports claim that the horrible thing happened in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and that she is now fighting for her life and may need further surgeries.
The family of Janelle Scott is asking for prayers and help. Her mother has told her that she has been crying where her daughter can’t see her.
“I have to help her, and then I need to go outside and cry for a bit.” Cheryl Scott said, “I don’t want her to see me like this, so I try not to cry in front of her.”
KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma, said that Scott’s run-in with the aggressive pit bulls happened on September 9 at 11 p.m.
Scott and her boyfriend were riding their bikes to a friend’s house when the friend’s pit bulls got out and attacked them immediately away. Scott’s boyfriend couldn’t help at first because he was too far away, but he was able to kill one of the dogs when it attacked him.

The police said that the attack happened close to a homeless camp where Scott’s friend lives in a trailer.
You have to go through a wooded area to go to your friend’s house. I guess he lives in a camper or something. “The dogs came out and attacked her while she was traveling that way. Mom Cheryl told KOKI-TV, “She knew the dogs, and they knew her.”
There are allegations that the friend’s trailer was broken into earlier that night, which could explain how the dogs got away.
The cops got there fast, but Scott had already been hurt terribly by the time they got there.
Cheryl said, “She knew she was going to lose her right arm after the attack because when she looked down, she could see the bone and it was barely hanging on by tendons and stuff.”
Soon after, Scott was airlifted to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
The first thing the doctors did was cut off her right arm and leg. Sadly, they had to chop off her left leg and arm as well.
Cheryl said, “That was hard for her because she was left-handed and thought she would get to keep her left arm.” Scott will have additional surgery to remove the rest of her legs, but Cheryl is hoping that she has enough muscle left to use prosthetics.
Cheryl wrote on a GoFundMe page for her daughter, “I pray that her body is strong enough for more surgery.” So please pray for her. I genuinely feel that prayers are really powerful. “Thank you!”
People reported that Scott’s friend, who owned the dogs, was in jail at the time of the event. After the event, the person who left to care for the pit bulls got a ticket.
