She Believed The Dog Had Numerous Bites, But The Doctor Examined It More Closely And Called The Police

Although she thought the dog had multiple bites, the doctor gave it a closer look and called the police.

Sadly, there are plenty of people who have no business owning or being near animals.

A few years back, Hayden Howard noticed that her dog wasn’t feeling well.

Jackson, her English Mastiff, had been playing in the backyard while she was inside. When she called him in, it looked like he was covered in bug bites.

But when she looked more closely, she discovered that the truth was even worse.

Jackson was, in fact, many gunshot wounds.

Hayden told WXIN, “I was completely shocked, I didn’t know what to think.”

As soon as he realized Jackson had been shot, he hurried him to the veterinarian. When the veterinarian examined Jackson, he found a lot of little bullets that had been shot from a BB pistol.

Hayden claims that there were “ones stuck under his eyelid, one in his ear, one in his knee, and they were everywhere.”

The veterinarian had to shave practically all of Jackson’s fur to get rid of the many plastic shells. He had to extract 27 bullets in total, leaving 20 rounds where they were.

Twenty additional bullet holes were found by the veterinarian all over Jackson’s small frame.

He had sustained about seventy gunshot wounds.

Assistant Chief Craig Hayes of the Seymour Police Department said, “It’s sad to see, but it’s a very bad case. I have never seen an animal shot that many times.”

I can’t understand how someone could harm a dog in such a terrible way, especially since the dog has never harmed anyone.

The individual believed to be the shooter—who was allegedly in a nearby yard—was the target of police pursuit.

They soon learned that a neighbor had hidden a gun and some ammunition inside their home.

According to The Daily Mail, the police found a BB pistol, pellets, and methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia at his home.

My genuine wish is that the criminal serves a long prison term and faces the repercussions for their conduct.

Sincerely, I believe that after they depart, they should never be permitted to touch an animal.

Hayden reports that Jackson is recovering well from his severe trauma.

Check out this story about the incident in the news:

Despite the fact that some news outlets regularly call BB and pellet guns “toys” or “fake,” these are real weapons with grave danger potential.

When a pellet or BB gun is used in a crime, it should be handled as such. It’s a genuine gun, and anybody uses it against innocent people should be dealt with appropriately by the law.

Jackson deserves a speedy recovery and the opportunity to play happily in his backyard once more.
