Many people and some celebrities, were warning they would move away from the United States if Trump was the winning candidate. It was Rosie O’Donnell herself who made this statement and things keep looking that way for her.
A week after sharing the idea, Rosie O’Donnell made a TikTok video on Tuesday. According to the video, Amie states she moved to Ireland on January 15 and was joined by her 12-year-old child, Dakota.

“I’m going to say it’s been wonderful,” she replied. The way they treat visitors is full of love and kindness. I am thankful as well.
At present, the famous comedienne is trying to gain Irish citizenship. Because her grandparents originate from that country, she may be given an opportunity.
I decided that making the move would be best for myself and my 12-year-old at the time. Yes, here we are.
After this, she shared: “You know, I’m so happy.” Clay feels good. I think about my other kids every day. I often think about my friends. I treasure lots of things about where I come from and I hope to find a home here in the U.S. until people everywhere enjoy equal rights.
She admitted to being troubled by some of the policies that President Trump instated in his first four years. She said how difficult it was both for herself and for those around her.
She has now settled in Dublin and so far she has found the locals to be very kind. She expressed that although she is happy in her new life, she’s regretful for those in her old life who no longer see her.
At the end of the video, she mentioned that she is happy. Clay has a good mood. My other kids are really missed by me. I really miss seeing my friends. I still miss a lot about living at home and I’m trying to settle in here in this wonderful country. Only when full equality is guaranteed for everyone in America will we think about returning.
Every day, I consider the challenges that face all of us and the United States. I am interested in fixing the problems and I believe you, all of you, will know what’s right and do it. I’m sure we all admit that to ourselves.
