Donald Trump has once more gone after Rosie O’Donnell, saying she is “a threat to humanity” and that she should stay in Ireland for good.
Trump Attacks O’Donnell on Truth Social
On Saturday, July 12, Trump, who is 79 years old, wrote on Truth Social to start his public war with O’Donnell, who is 63 years old, again. He stated she is dangerous to the US.
He writes about her recent migration to Ireland:
“I’m really thinking about taking away Rosie O’Donnell’s citizenship because she doesn’t care about the things that matter to our Great Country.” If they will have her, she should stay in Ireland, which is a lovely country. “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
O’Donnell had already declared that she was leaving the U.S. since Trump would be sworn in for a second time in January 2025.

For almost 20 years, this fight has been going on.
When O’Donnell was on The View in December 2006, things between Trump and O’Donnell got nasty.
She dubbed Trump “a snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie” because he gave Miss USA Tara Conner another chance after she drank underage. She stated he wasn’t trustworthy.
“He gets on my nerves in so many ways,” O’Donnell stated. He didn’t create himself. He cheated on his first wife, had an affair, left his second wife, and had additional kids. How does he guide 20-year-olds in the right way? Donald, sit down and spin. I don’t like him.
Trump’s answer was fast and never-ending.

Trump didn’t get back to them right away. In an interview with People magazine, he labeled O’Donnell “a woman out of control” and warned he might sue her. “She’ll wish she hadn’t said those things.” Rosie is a loser. He said, “A complete loser.”
Trump was highly upset with what she stated about his money and said, “She made false claims.” I think I’ll sue her because it’ll be fun.
A Fight That Will Never End
For years, Trump didn’t like O’Donnell. He made fun of her on Twitter after she got engaged in 2011. He said:
“I feel awful for Rosie’s new boyfriend. Her parents must be really upset that their daughter is with Rosie. Total failure.
In a Republican primary debate in 2015, Trump was asked about the sexist things he has said in the past. He said, “Rosie O’Donnell only.”
O’Donnell worries about how emotionally draining it is for her.

O’Donnell has been open about how Trump’s attacks have hurt her mental health a lot. She told People that his acts were the worst bullying she had ever seen:
“It was worse than anything I went through when I was a kid.” It was public, national, and everyone seemed to be fine with it.
After Trump won in 2016, she became a loud critic and even protested outside the White House in 2018. After he won re-election in 2025, she decided to emigrate to Ireland.
The Tension Stays—Even Across the Sea
It looks like the fight isn’t getting any better, even though they put an ocean between them. An Irish journalist asked Prime Minister Micheál Martin in a mocking way why O’Donnell was allowed to move to Ireland. Trump is supposed to have said:
“Do you even know who she is?” It would be better if you didn’t know.
O’Donnell said recently, “He’s been doing this for 20 years, and it still shocks me every time.”
