Melania Trump Welcomes the White House Christmas Tree in Elegant Holiday Style

On November 24, 2025, the North Portico was full of tradition, but not everyone was looking at the 18-and-a-half-foot Christmas tree that came in a horse-drawn carriage. They were after her.

A Facebook/ABC News user commented on Melania Trump’s dress as the White House Christmas tree arrived on November 24, 2025.

The beautiful Michigan-grown fir from Korson’s Tree Farms rolled up to the executive house in a splendid carriage pulled by two majestic Clydesdale horses named Logan and Ben. A military band played joyful music to welcome the tree. Three men in old-fashioned clothing and top hats rode along with the horses.

The Coat That Went Viral

Trump welcomed her arrival in her usual calm manner from the steps of the North Portico, calling it “a beautiful tree” as she posed for pictures next to the carriage. But even though the tree would soon be in the Blue Room, people were more interested in a different kind of presentation.

There was nothing subtle about Trump’s look. She wore a clean Dior coat with bright red leather gloves and tartan-patterned Manolo Blahnik stilettos to go with her winter-white outfit. The striking juxtaposition of wintry beauty and bright holiday colors drove the internet crazy.

And not everyone was impressed.

“She wore her pajama robe,” one person on the internet said. One person said, “White bathrobe and red rubber gloves.” One person said, “She’s literally wearing a bathrobe.”

The fashion police, on the other hand, weren’t all giving tickets.

“Melania is rocking her plaid stilettos,” one fan wrote on Facebook. Another person said, “She has the best shoes.” She always has the best shoes.

Some people went beyond fashion and admired her whole appearance.

“She is attractive and smart. “Poise and grace,” wrote one person on the internet. “Elegance is back in the White House,” said another.

Experts Praise Holiday Hair Change

Her coat caused a lot of controversy, but it wasn’t the only thing about Trump’s look that got people talking. The First Lady showed off a new hair color that glowed, and salon experts were quick to provide their opinions.

Suzie McGill, the artistic director at Rainbow Room International, couldn’t stop talking about how well the First Lady’s skin matched the bright, lighter color.

McGill went on to say that this was a refined improvement that made Trump’s whole look brighter right away, making sure she never looked overdone. The bolder hue also gave it a bold, modern feel, yet it nevertheless wonderfully captured the characteristic, flawless elegance and classic style that have made her famous.

Kirsty Judge, a member of the Rush Artistic team, called the color “cinnamon blonde” and praised it as a classy seasonal stunner.

Judge went on to say that this beautiful, tawny, beige blonde has a rich, warm oak base with tiny swirls of vanilla blonde bits woven into the hair to add a burst of brilliance.

Old tapes still bother people nowadays.

But even the glamor of Dior or the warmth of cinnamon blonde couldn’t completely get rid of the controversy that hung over Christmases past.

The First Lady’s tree-receiving ceremony brought back memories of a very different time, when secretly captured tapes from summer 2018 were broadcast on “Anderson Cooper 360” in 2020.

During those talks, Melania Trump discussed how hard it was for her to be in the public eye during a very stressful time for her husband’s first term in office.

“I’m working… I don’t care about the Christmas items and decorations; I don’t care about the Christmas stuff and decorations. But I have to do it, right? she was heard saying.

Trump also said she was frustrated with how people reacted to her husband’s policies of separating families at the border. She seemed to suggest that the previous government did the same thing but got less criticism for it.

A Friendship That Fell Apart

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, once one of her closest friends, secretly taped embarrassing records. Stephanie Grisham, who was Trump’s chief of staff at the time, acted quickly and strongly.

A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF was hosted by Gucci and Madonna at the United Nations on February 6, 2008, in New York City. David Wolkoff, Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Melania Trump, and Donald Trump were there.

Grisham responded, “Secretly taping the First Lady and breaking an NDA to publish a scandalous book is a clear attempt to be relevant.” “The timing of this is still suspicious, as is this never-ending show of self-pity and narcissism.”

But the tapes weren’t the end. Wolkoff also wrote a tell-all book called “Melania and Me” that revealed more than simply the stress of Christmas. Wolkoff discussed years of talking to Trump about everything from her marriage to Michelle Obama to her questionable clothing choices and more.

A former Vogue employee said that the two women used to be inseparable and were part of the same affluent Manhattan circles. Later, Wolkoff became Trump’s top advisor, helping her write speeches and establish her “Be Best” program.

However, everything collapsed when an investigation into the excessive spending at the 2017 inauguration opened.

According to the New York Times, Wolkoff’s event organizing company got more than $26 million for the inaugural events, and she personally got $500,000. CNN got documents that show that $1.6 million went straight to her company.
