Former Vice President Kamala Harris has come under fire on social media for her remarks to the Broadway production’s cast and crew of “A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical.”
Harris may be seen addressing the Broadway musical’s cast in videos posted to social media platforms like X.

But a lot of conservative users have made jokes about Harris’s speech being nonsensical.
This speech has even been dubbed a “word salad” by some.
Harris said to the actors, as shown in a video posted on X, “When we think about these moments where we see things that are being taken, but also let’s see it, you know, nature abhors a vacuum.”
“Let’s fill vacancies where they exist,” she continued.
In actuality, our country’s progress has been about expanding rights rather than restricting them.
We are currently witnessing a U-turn.
In order to protect those rights, we must exercise caution.
It’s simply the way things are.
We must have a clean head,” Harris later stated.
It also doesn’t imply that we don’t see beauty in everything.
Although all of these things coexist, I think that we fight for something rather than against something.
Harris’ statement was ridiculed online by a large number of social media users, especially conservatives who supported President Donald Trump over Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

“Of course, Kamala Harris served up her signature word salad when she hit Broadway,” one person wrote.
A humorous reminder of the things we avoided at the White House.
The former vice president was implied to be intoxicated by another, who posted, “Drunk auntie and her entourage of people that get paid to go ‘Mmmm.'”
A story on Harris’ trip to New York City was published by the New York Post.
While in New York City, Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, attended two Broadway shows.
Harris apparently saw “Gypsy” in addition to “A Wonderful World.”
Actors Discuss Their Experiences With Harris
A few “A Wonderful World” cast members talked about their personal encounters with Harris on social media.
The Broadway musical’s cast member, Wes Barnes, described the former vice president’s generosity to everyone following the performance.
“She was so generous with her time, and she not only took the time to speak life into us and inspire us,” Barnes said.
“I only desired a picture.
Not only did I receive my picture…
I have all of this.
Hope is not lost.
We still have work to do.
We cannot give up or give up.
Harris’ Additional “Word Salad” Addresses
Conservatives have long chastised Harris for her remarks.
According to numerous claims, she frequently rambles during these times and frequently gives the impression that she is ignorant of the subject.
Harris received a lot of criticism when she was in office.
Many people on social media have criticized her speeches, even though she is no longer the vice president.
As an illustration, she recently addressed firemen in Los Angeles amid the horrific fires that shook the city in January.
“You know, as I told these brave and amazing firefighters, times of crisis truly bring out the best in us,” she remarked.
We visited the World Central Kitchen.
The volunteers who were there, some of whom had lost their own houses, were engaged in the task of caring for complete strangers who, when confronted by that stranger, felt like neighbors.
Harris’s so-called “word salad” drew swift criticism from a number of conservative commentators.
Meanwhile, Harris’ response to a question last year about why Trump regularly targets cities with high African American populations drew criticism from conservative quarters.
In response to this query, Harris stated, “I once spoke with someone who said, ‘You know, if you just look at where the stars are in the sky, don’t look at ’em as just random things.'”
If you only consider them as points, what does the constellation reveal to you?
“Trump was targeting these cities only because of their Black populations,” Harris added.
“Roland, you just outlined it. What does it show you?” Harris questioned Roland Martin, the interviewer.
He criticizes cities based on their black mayors, black populations, or both.
C’mon.
But in other cases, these conservative gags have become a leftist movement.
Most infamously, Harris’ remarks about falling from a coconut tree, which conservatives quickly ridiculed, became a major leftist rallying cry on social media to this day.
Young liberals used this speech to start a whole movement for Harris on TikTok.
Harris’ Prospects
Harris has not addressed her future since losing to Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
Despite the opposition of certain liberals, many people think she might run for president again in the upcoming election.
As Gavin Newsom is presently the governor of California, some speculate that she would run for the office.
Newsom can’t run once more.
Harris has the opportunity to become governor in 2026 if she really chooses to run for office.
Harris has, however, thus far dispelled any doubts regarding her future.
When Harris was leaving the Vice President’s office, that was the only time she talked about what she could do in the next years.
She assured those who supported her that she would not “go quietly into the night.”
Harris will get a significant honor.
At least we know some of the events Harris will be attending in the near future, even though we may not know much about her political future.
Harris will receive the NAACP’s Chairman’s Award during this month’s Image Awards presentation, the organization recently announced.
Previous recipients of this esteemed honor include Representative John Lewis and former President Barack Obama.
Vice President Kamala Harris is more than just a leader; she is a force of change, motivated by an unshakable commitment to create a better, more equitable future, said Leon W. Russell, head of the NAACP’s national board of directors, in a statement outlining this selection.
In recognition of her unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and the advancement of our society, we are honored to present her with the Chairman’s Award at this year’s NAACP Image Awards.
Is Harris Really Going to Run for Governor of California?
Although Harris has remained silent about her political future, it appears that both liberals and conservatives believe she will run for governor of California.
After all, Newsom, her political friend, is unable to run again.
Harris is favored by many California Democrats to succeed Newsom as governor.
A recent Emerson College poll indicates that Harris is the front-runner to run for governor in 2026.
Approximately 57% of California’s registered Democrats, according to the poll, would back the former vice president if she chose to run for governor of the Golden State.
Harris has been in California for a long time.
Although she was born in Berkeley, she grew up mostly in the Bay Area.
She’s lived in the Golden State for most, if not all, of her life.
Since Harris served as California’s 32nd attorney general and a senator from the Golden State for several years, many people in the state hold her in high regard and favor.
In her home state, she has long been in the public eye.
Consequently, she receives a great deal of support throughout.
For the next few years, Harris may continue to be in the public eye if she does choose to pursue this career path.
After her time as governor is up, she may decide to run again or perhaps even attempt to run for president again.
Being in a public position, like governor, would give conservative influences more opportunity to criticize her ideas, which they believe are too progressive.
The former vice president in any public office doesn’t need to join Trump in his longstanding criticism of Harris.
He will still criticize her if he wants to, but he usually makes fun of former President Joe Biden more than he does her.
Naturally, there is a very good probability that the president will target her more frequently if she is elected governor, much like he frequently targets Newsom.
Many people think Harris won’t run for governor of California because they think it’s a job that requires no gratitude.
Many of her admirers therefore hope that she will run for president again in 2028.
The Democrats may find this to be rather problematic, particularly since Gavin Newsom, the governor of California at the moment, is regarded as a serious candidate for president in 2028.
It’s impossible to predict what might occur because Harris hasn’t yet discussed her plans for the future.
