Christie Brinkley, Iconic Face of ’70s and ’80s CoverGirl, Shines at 70

Christie Brinkley (born Christie Lee Hudson on February 2, 1954 in Monroe, Michigan) grew up in Los Angeles, California under a hot California sun.

At an early age, she displayed creativity, graduated from Palisades High School and started traveling to Europe to deepen her love for the arts. Art took her to Paris and one meeting there would set her path for the rest of her life.

Christie met American photographer Errol Sawyer in Paris and their meeting sparked her career as one of America’s most famous models.

Her beautiful look, joyful smile and strong stage presence soon attracted popular brands and photographers. During the late 1970s, she gained nationwide popularity, being known and recognized right across the country.

Christie was made the representative for CoverGirl, a partnership that lasted an outstanding 25 years. Because of her easy-going style, she played a key role in setting new natural and radiant trends which the public connected with.

Yet, one of the biggest marks she left on pop culture came from starring in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Erina graced the cover ofерее Seventeen magazine for three years in a row from 1979 to 1981, making her a supermodel by any measure.

As well as her well-known beauty and success in modeling, Christie Brinkley has also made a name for herself with her roles in movies, her own businesses and her generosity.

Though she studied art in Paris years ago, her love for creativity remains present in all the periods of her highly successful career.
