The BeyGOOD organisation, which is owned and operated by Beyoncé, has contributed $2.5 million to assist those who have been impacted by the wildfires in Los Angeles. The official Instagram account of the foundation made the announcement of the donation on Sunday, January 12, and provided an explanation of how the money will be beneficial.

The message at the top of the post said, “Los Angeles, we stand with you.” The Los Angeles Fire Relief Fund will be established by BeyGOOD with a total of $2.5 million. 2013 marked the beginning of BeyGOOD. Helping people and collaborating with organisations that provide support to underserved communities is the mission of this organisation. Everyone should be inspired to “BeyGOOD” in order for the foundation to achieve its goal of making a difference.

Throughout the years, BeyGOOD has been a supporter of a wide variety of causes. Following the disastrous disasters that occurred in 2015, it assisted Haiti in recovering. During the year 2016, it contributed $82,000 to assist in addressing the water crisis in Flint. Since more than a decade ago, the foundation has not stopped working towards its goals.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reports that the wildfires that have been raging in Los Angeles originated on Tuesday, January 7, as a brush fire in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood. The fire had already spread swiftly by 10:30 in the morning. As a result of the flames in Eaton, Hurst, and Lidia, some 180,000 people were instructed to leave their homes, according to NBC. A total of twenty-four individuals have passed away, as of Sunday (January 12), as reported by The Los Angeles Times.

To aid those who have been affected by wildfires, a number of celebrities and businesses have also sent donations. Twenty-five million dollars were donated by Disney, while Fox Corporation and Paramount each contributed one million dollars to the American Red Cross. Halle Berry, an actress, announced on social media that she will be donating her complete wardrobe to +COOP, a company in California that assists people who have been affected by terrible tragedies.

Berry posted on Instagram, “I’m packing up my entire wardrobe and bringing it to CoOP,” referring to the upcoming event. In the event that you are a resident of Southern California, I strongly recommend that you follow my advice. Helping families who are in need of basic goods right now is something that anyone of us can do now!
