Alan Jackson — A True Legend in Country Music
For about four decades, Alan Jackson has stood out as one of the most respected singers in country music.

The legend he’s made is full of meaningful emotions, sincerity and the classic country music fans have come to love through songs such as “Remember When,” “Chattahoochee,” and “Drive (For Daddy Gene). Many fans respect his warm voice and enjoy listening to his stories as much as his down-to-earth personality.

However, recently Alan Jackson announced that he has been silently battling a condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease for the past 10 years which could interrupt his stage career.

The condition has an effect on his nerves in the arms and legs, making him less able to stand, walk and use muscles as well as before.

At first, “Last Call: One More for the Road Tour” was pitched as Alan Jackson’s career celebration, where he said goodbye to fans by traveling across the country.

Many people were eager for the concert; almost no tickets remained after they were released and it drew fans from everywhere to listen to him live.

Nevertheless, under the cheering and dancing was a man often battling issues within himself. He admitted that constant performances have now taken a greater physical toll than before.

Recently, Alan Jackson discussed with great emotion how CMT, a form of nerve disease, affected his ability to move and work.
