REN Clean Skincare, a British skincare brand that has been a leader in clean beauty for 25 years, is going to close for good. This will make loyal consumers very angry, and it will be the last chance to get products at a huge discount.

Antony Buck and Rob Calcraft launched the business in London in 2000. The name derives from the Swedish term for “clean,” which illustrates that the company is dedicated to employing natural components and mild solutions that are good for skin that is sensitive. REN had a loyal fan base long before these kinds of products became fashionable since they didn’t utilize petrochemicals, parabens, sulfates, or synthetic smells. The Ready Steady Glow AHA Tonic and the Evercalm balm were two of the best-selling items.

Unilever bought REN in 2015 and put it under its Prestige Brands division. Unilever, on the other hand, announced it had to make the “difficult decision” to close REN on May 1, 2025. The company said it was “unable to sustain success in the long term” because to “a combination of internal factors and market challenges in recent years.” The shutdown was supposed to happen on September 30, 2025, however it has been moved ahead since then.

A new post on the company’s official Instagram page says that until July 31, 2025, buyers may only buy the rest of the product via REN’s own online store. After the news came out, more than a thousand people wrote about how heartbroken they were. Someone who works in the cosmetics business said they were sorry that there wasn’t more “inspiration and innovation.” They said that REN was a “beautiful British brand with nice values.” Some people said they were quite sad: “I’m devastated.” “You have made my skin much better many times; I have very sensitive skin!” said one person.

Someone else said, “Ren products have made my skin better than anything else I’ve ever used.” Many people have claimed that the brand’s future might have been different if it had “stayed an independent business.”
REN is giving 30% off everything on their website as the July 31st deadline approaches. But some things are already marked as out of stock since there aren’t enough of them.

Some businesses still have the rest of the REN items for sale while they last:
Boots: They cost between £25 and £50 online and in stores. There are a lot of goods that are out of stock, and not everything is always in stock.
You can also find leftover stock in online beauty stores like Look Fantastic and Cult Beauty.

REN is closing in on the beauty sector, which is incredibly competitive and hard for clients because of the high cost of living. Unilever is actively cutting down on its broad portfolio so that it can focus on its core brands and make more money. In March,

After the firing of his predecessor, Unilever’s new CEO, Fernando Fernandez, announced that the company will sell off brands that weren’t doing well at a “faster pace.” Big moves to save money,
As part of a strategy to save €800 million, 6,000 full-time employment will be cut around the world in the first quarter of 2025. This strategic transition is happening at the same time. These steps are being taken because of the difficult conditions that are said to have led to REN’s death.

A company that offered natural, skin-friendly products is coming to the end of its run. Customers may now buy their favorite goods directly from REN online for less money until July 31st, when the brand will be gone.
