A Fresh Start in a Tiny Space: Woman Converts Shed into Lovely Home

Could you imagine living in a house that has more than one bedroom? Would you prefer a larger house? Living in a place like this would be a fulfilling dream for many individuals. But some people choose to live simply. The truth is that small homes can be comfortable, useful, and easy to take care of.

Many people these days rent or buy smaller homes since it helps them save money on things like rent or mortgage payments, utility bills, and more.

Heather, a young lady who got divorced during the pandemic, knows this all too well. She used to live in a van and tour the world. Now she lives in a shed that she turned into her permanent home. Heather doesn’t think the 10’x11′ space is too small to be her home, even though most of us would.

During the pandemic, she chose to give up life on the road for something more stable. She also wanted to start over following her divorce.
The

shack that became a home seems simple and barren from the outside. Heather hasn’t spent much time or money on fixing up the outside yet, but she has kept things basic in case she decides to move again. But the inside is a different tale. She has everything she needs in her small dwelling.

Her desk is to the right of the door, facing a window with beautiful views that are perfect for getting ideas while you work. On the left is a cozy living room with a swinging desk for movie nights and a couch with many pillows on it.

There is also a section that combines a fireplace, kitchen, and bathroom. A small camping stove is all she needs to cook, and a wood burner keeps the place warm on chilly, wet days. Her glassware and pantry items are carefully arranged on open shelves. A fridge that was hers mother has both food and a collection of travel magnets. Heather made room for drawers, cupboards, and a composting toilet hidden beneath the sink, even though the area was small.

Her loft bedroom is above the living room and is big enough for sleeping only. Heather adds, “What I love about the whole space is the vibe.” “For the first time in my life, I was responsible for what I desired. It feels as if I am living both indoors and outdoors simultaneously. “Having my own safe space is what I want to create.”
