Body Language Expert Reveals the Power Behind French President’s Interruption of Trump

At the White House on the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Emmanuel Macron accompanied Donald Trump.

A body language specialist has described a “powerful” moment he witnessed during a press conference in which French President Emmanuel Macron corrected US President Donald Trump by interrupting him.

Shortly after the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and at a time when ties between the United States and Europe are still shaky, Macron joined Trump at the White House in Washington on Monday, February 26.

Macron said there was ‘strong reason’ for the leaders to’re-engage’ during the news conference, and he expressed support for Trump’s choice to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

At one point, the French leader interrupted Trump to correct him on his assertions regarding Europe’s backing for Ukraine, underscoring the importance of distinguishing opinion from fact.

Trump said that Europe was “loaning the money to Ukraine” and that they would be “getting their money back.” Macron intervened to refute this claim.

“No, really. We actually paid. “We covered 60% of the entire effort,” he stated.

Body language specialist Darren Stanton has now dissected that specific exchange, offering his insights on the emotions that both Trump and Macron were experiencing at the time.

When Macron is seen interrupting Trump, he still has a lot of control over the issue and doesn’t appear embarrassed, he said UNILAD in a statement on behalf of Spin Genie.

Macron interrupted him, and Trump allowed him to continue. Prior to making the steeple motion, Trump had his hands clasped, suggesting that he was giving him the benefit of the doubt and allowing Macron to have his turn. Using this gesture gives the impression that the person making it is the most powerful person in the room.

Stanton stated his opinion that Trump was attempting to “prove he had control” with this oblique gesture.

The analyst went on to say: “Trump also made a hand gesture. After correcting him, Macron went on and placed his hand on Trump. Trump signaled “yeah, whatever” by shaking his hand. Additionally, he was observed grinning and nodding in agreement as he looked into the crowd. During this meeting, Macron was not in charge. Trump didn’t agree with Macron, as evidenced by his body language, which surprised us because we expected him to be quite kind.

Macron cut Trump off, explaining that European countries used a mix of “loans, guarantees, and grants” to deliver “real money,” just like the US had.

“It’s okay with me if you believe that,” Trump then said to reporters.
