It is common knowledge that eyebrows are the most important beauty playground you can have. If you simply read through social media, you will come across a wide range of eyebrow trends, including fishtail designs, Nike swooshes, and even unicorn horns.
However, just when you thought you had seen everything there is to see, the discourse was interrupted by the peculiar new halo brows…
The wonderfully strange world of social media is responsible for the emergence of halo brows, which are in the same category as other eccentric beauty trends. In recent years, social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram have emerged as the most fertile environment for the development of trends that contradict conventional beauty standards.
A British-born influencer named Hannah Lyne, who is only 16 years old, is responsible for the creation of halo brows, which are a halo-like arc that extends across your forehead and joins both of your brows into a single loop. Her new doodles went viral almost immediately.
“So me and [a friend] were talking about the fishtail brow trend, and then we came up with this,” Lyne writes as the caption for the Instagram photo in which she debuts the style that has left people both excited and bewildered.
During an interview with Pop Sugar, the beauty blogger clarified that the look was not a prank and stated that the “look was influenced by fishtail brows.”
She explained, “I was having a conversation with a friend trying to come up with a new idea for a look, and all of a sudden it came to me that I should connect my brow tails.” That was the moment when she had the epiphany.
Lyne continued her discussion of her idea with Yahoo Style by stating, “I just want people to embrace being silly and doing weird, creative looks!”
The ‘ridiculous’ trend
Halo brows, like many other fads that originated on social media, elicited a rush of emotions that were all over the place.
Lyne’s inventiveness was appreciated by a few Instagram users, who expressed their admiration for the design. One user wrote, “I love it!” while another user wrote, “All of your looks are very original…In all honesty, your talent is without limit!
“What on earth comes into your head to come up with these ideas? You are always very good at putting them into action, and they are so inventive! “You have an incredible amount of talent,” says a third person.
On the other hand, the vast majority of internet users dismissed the updated unibrow as a “ridiculous” trend almost immediately.
One individual writes in the comments section of Lyne’s Instagram post, “Vomits Uncontrollably,” explaining their condition. A second person says, “I can’t tell if she’s joking,” while a third person writes, “Instagram? The most similar to Instaregret.”
In the meantime, some people have commented that she is “ridiculous,” and others have claimed that they are “deleting Instagram because of this photo.”

Nevertheless, the “heavenly halo brows” were described as “strangely beautiful” by Cosmopolitan.
The journal describes the looped eyebrows as “an unconventional yet gorgeous work of arch,” and it says that readers should “prepare to meet”.
It is entertaining to watch makeup artists experiment with new ways to style their eyebrows, regardless of whether they have one or two of them. This is true even if you do not agree with the aforementioned look.
I’m curious about your thoughts on the halo brows. Instead of having your brows grow, would you rather have them plumped or waxed? We would appreciate it if you could share your comments with us, and then proceed to tell your friends about this article so that we may also hear from them.
