Jim Mitchum, the son of famed actor Robert Mitchum, has passed away at the age of 84.
A family spokesperson claimed that he died on September 20 at his Skull Valley ranch in Arizona after a long illness. Pamela K. Smith, his third wife, was there with him.
Will, Brian, Ana, and Caitlin Ann are Pamela and Jim’s four kids.
Jim did what his father did and created a name for himself in Hollywood.
In the 1958 classic movie Thunder Road, which was initially designed for Elvis Presley, he played a mechanic and shared the screen with his father’s character’s younger brother.
He also fell in love with cars for the rest of his life because of that first job. He even worked on Elvis Presley’s hot rods and got to know the King.

Over the years, he was in more than 30 movies, some of which were called James Mitchum. In Harm’s Way (1965) with Kirk Douglas and John Wayne and Ambush Bay (1966) with Mickey Rooney and Hugh O’Brien are two of these movies.
He was also in Moonrunners (1975), the movie that gave rise to the well-known TV show The Dukes of Hazzard.

His mother wanted him to remain away from Hollywood, but he got his big break in Thunder Road when he was 16 and got into the profession.
For a short time, Jim also tried to be a singer. He put out the single “Lonely Birthday” in 1961, but it didn’t do anything.
He quit acting in 1994 and relocated to Arizona, where he raised horses and made a brand of high-end moonshine based on his father’s famous movies Thunder Road and Out of the Past.
Jim got married three times.
In 1968, he married actress Wende Wagner, but they split up ten years later.
