Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, became renowned after something went viral at Coldplay’s concert in Boston. This led to rumours online about a possible office romance and questions about how he acted at work in the past.
People in the audience at Coldplay’s Boston event might have observed a well-known IT executive and his supposed partner act suspiciously during the “Kiss Cam” part of the show.

When the camera got close to them, the woman turned her head away and the man fell down to hide.
It revealed out later that the guy was Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, a company that organises data. The woman he hugged was Kristin Cabot, who is in charge of people at Astronomer.

When Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of Coldplay, asked the crowd, “Uh-oh, what?” it was a joke about the circumstance. Either they’re incredibly shy or they’re cheating on someone.
Someone on the internet said, “Chris Martin doing Gods work, [sic],” in reaction to the lead singer’s off-the-cuff comment. Someone else said, “What if Coldplay saw you?”

Since the video went viral, people on social media have been sharing Chris Martin’s amusing yet provocative comment. Someone wrote, “HES having an affair… [sic].” Someone another said, “There’s no doubt they’re hiding something.”
“Oh my God, that looks like Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, and Kristin Cabot, the Chief People Officer of Astronomer!” one individual exclaimed. They said they recognised the couple right away. Yes, that board meeting will be quite uncomfortable, and it might even cause some people to get divorced.
Another person said, “I wonder where he told his wife he was going?” Once it was evident that Byron was married.

As soon as the video of the event became viral, people on the internet and social media started looking into the pair. This made me think of Byron’s news story from 2023 about Cabot hiring a new executive. He said in the statement:
Kristin’s strong leadership and deep understanding of how to manage people, get them involved, and scale their approaches will be incredibly vital as we move swiftly forward. She has run a number of firms that were growing, and Astronomer is the perfect place for her because she loves establishing work environments that are different and work together.
Those comments are coming back, but this time they’re coming back in a new way. People have had a wide range of emotions to their alleged romance online, from laughing to not believing it. “This cheating scandal just keeps on giving, especially to the lawyers.” “Right now, their husbands should be thanking the tabloids 😂😂😂,” one person commented.
Others soon saw that there might be more than one way to look at the problem. One sharp-eyed viewer observed, “It looks like she has a wedding ring on here too?”
Court documents in Massachusetts show that Cabot and her ex-husband Kenneth Thornby filed for divorce in 2018 and concluded it in 2022. Records suggest that the ex-couple has at least one child together, but Thornby had to pay child support, so it’s not apparent if she has since remarried.
As doubts grew, a lot of people looked into Byron’s marriage. First, Megan Kerrigan Byron, his wife, deleted the name Byron off of her Facebook page. After that, she deleted the profile completely. Her Instagram account has also been taken down.
It looks like Megan acted quickly after getting a lot of comments on her social media sites about the viral footage of her husband and his HR executive at the show. A lot of people on the internet told Megan that they were on her side in the end.

Byron has switched off his LinkedIn profile for now. Someone said, “I know the business is going crazy today.”
People can still view Cabot’s online accounts, but Byron’s have gone missing. “I’m a powerful leader and a brave change agent,” her CV says. I set a good example and gain the trust of everyone who works with me, from CEOs to managers to helpers.
As the rumoured affair comes to light, people are once again interested in Byron’s work history, especially his stint at the cybersecurity company Cybereason.
The Information claimed in an April 2018 story named “Fake Hire, Staff Departures Roil SoftBank-Backed Security Startup” that Byron’s former workers said he was a harsh and rude CEO.
The newspaper went on to say, “Several former employees said that Mr. Byron would lash out at workers who disagreed with him, even threatening to fire them.” “You couldn’t question him,” remarked a former worker.
According to his now-deleted LinkedIn profile, Byron was Cybereason’s chief revenue officer for more than two years, starting in 2017. A lot of individuals quit his business at that time because of how he operated it. People say that in response, he hired devoted salespeople from his last company, Fuze.
“We had a great start and did really well, but it was never enough to say we were a fast-growing company because we were always trying to hire more people and make more money,” said one former team member. We need to grow the most quickly. The worker stated the vibe was “sad.”
“People loved the company,” stated another worker who was still with Cybereason when the story came out. They really don’t like it now.
Byron said that his choices had only hurt some people and that he had not been nasty.
Cabot and Byron haven’t spoken anything about it yet. Byron’s wife has made it apparent that she won’t talk by not using her social media sites.
