A Texas National Guard Blackhawk helicopter landed outside of Ingram High School. It transported seven young girls who had been saved from the floodwaters of the Guadalupe River. The film was quite powerful and touching. A TV station in San Antonio filmed the dramatic event and put it online.
You can see the helicopter coming and the women who were rescued sprinting away to safety right away. In a story full of fear, mistrust, and the power of nature that never ends, their escape from danger was one of the few good things that happened.
The rescue happened after the floods on July 4th that destroyed the area near Hunt, Texas, where Camp Mystic, a summer camp for Christian girls, was running with about 750 youngsters. and officials learned that at least 23 girls had gone missing and the Guadalupe River rose swiftly, they placed Camp Mystic, which is about 18 miles northwest of Kerrville in Kerr County, the center of a rescue attempt. Officials have not yet confirmed whether the seven girls found by the National Guard are among the first kids to go missing. The video gave a brief but hopeful look at a horrible scenario.
As the helicopter moved closer to the ground, the rotor wash blew debris over the landing zone. The girls got off the plane and ran to safety. The video just showed part of their faces, but they seemed worried, happy, and tired.

Nick Sortor, a reporter, uploaded a picture of two additional females being flown in what looks like another Blackhawk helicopter from the Texas National Guard. This is part of the continuing rescue mission. It’s still not clear if these females are part of the same gang as the girls in the first movie. But the pictures have made a lot of people in Texas and elsewhere interested and supportive, and they hope for more successful rescues.
This mission shows how important the Texas National Guard is when disasters strike, especially when the weather changes suddenly and dramatically, like it did during the Independence Day flood. Their quick deployment and ability to reach remote or hard-to-reach regions have already made a major effect.
