and bodily injuries. His son remains unfound and search is going on. The man has been airlifted to the Lahad Datu Hospital in order to receive medical care.
Sumsoa, the leader of the village, said that many of the people who live there depend on the river to survive because they depend on the river to feed and survive and, hence, have to enter the water.
We have told them of the additional risks just now and to be specially careful as the crocodile may be still in the neighborhood.

The Royal Malaysian Police is said to be in search of the body of the baby boy.
Crocodile attack is not rampant, but it happens and leads to death quite often.
In 2022, Australian authorities were forced to kill a crocodile that bit a woman. The woman was thought to be 38 years old, and was swimming in the water in Butler Cove, Lake Argyle, when she was attacked.
It was destroyed since the crocodile was a problem animal.
According to the Department of Biodiversity and Conservation at the time, it is in line with what staff would consider as a problem animal, both the behaviour of the crocodile in relation to the boat and what occurred the day before.
To guarantee the safety of members of the public in the popular swimming and recreation zone and bearing in mind significant community events like the tri-annual Lake Argyle swim event taking place this weekend, staff killed the animal acting in the best interest of the community and their safety.
