Being the woman who made cooking accessible and enjoyable, Anne never lost her jovial nature even on her deathbed. Five days before her death, she had posted on Instagram, I ran into @greenladyofbrooklyn in my neighborhood today!! I have been watching out for her I admit. I might or might not have followed her down the street a minute. She is simply gorgeous!!! #ilovewhatido #luckygirl 💚💚💚.”

One of her final deep interviews was in April with TastingTable, where Anne revealed her views on the emotional bond between cooks and food. “I can really say in my heart that I believe that food tastes how you are feeling when you are cooking it and it responds the way you are feeling when you are cooking it,” she said.

The task of Anne was to ensure that cooking is not an intimidating experience, but an enjoyable one. She was put on shows such as Worst Cooks in America where her aim was to encourage and provide positive feedback to novices so that through a positive outlook, people can feel comfortable enough to make errors so as to learn from them.

The preparation and discipline in the kitchen were also emphasized by her. There is a recipe to it. It is not necessary to wing it. All you have to do is to find a recipe, read a few recipes and select the recipe that you feel most comfortable with or maybe one that you like the most and then read the recipe through to the end before you begin to cook, she instructed.

Burrell also believed in mise en place, which is preparation of all the ingredients in advance and cleaning as you go to ease and simplify the cooking process. When cooking, she would always tell people to take a taste of food to make it perfect in taste.

She has been real and full of passion in her last months. She responded honestly that she had no idea why on Instagram in response to fans asking her about why she was not on Worst Cooks in America, saying, “Honestly I don’t know. 🤷🏼‍♀īactiv_equotrobryush必 especiova translation by DeepL
