The world is currently offering more drama than a soap opera, so Saturday Night Live has an endless supply of content to eat up.
Elon Musk was mercilessly attacked by the show on April 5.
Having on a cheesehead cap
Another week means another SNL skit making fun of Elon Musk, and naturally, the billionaire has another outburst on Twitter. In a comedy about a new Tesla model that has a somewhat… unusual feature—a car that vandalizes itself—Mike Myers took aim at Musk this time.
Toward the end of the “Trump Tariff Cold Open” segment, Myers made an unexpected cameo as President Donald Trump (played by James Austin Johnson) attempted to reassure the country after the stock market plummeted in response to his most recent tariff announcement.
Following Trump’s statement that “South Africa puts a 60% tariff on everything we send them, and they’ve never even sent us one good thing,” Mike Myers’ portrayal of Elon Musk entered the room. He was wearing a cheesehead hat, a reference to the time he once tried in vain to assist a Trump-backed candidate in winning a Wisconsin Supreme Court seat.
“That was from when I attempted to buy the Wisconsin election,” said Musk of Myers. “I’m a fool.” I should’ve simply purchased Wisconsin.
Following complaints of people purposefully damaging Tesla vehicles and previous demonstrations at Tesla stores, Myers Musk then unveiled “the new Tesla Model-V — the first electric car in history to be fully self-vandalizing.” such as self-slashing tires, self-smashing headlights, and AI-powered graffiti.

Even though the joke was full of outrageous humor and was characteristic of Saturday Night Live, Elon wasn’t laughing.
Musk, who hosted Saturday Night Live in 2021 before losing interest in the program less than a year later, was not pleased with Myers’ performance. On X (previously Twitter), he retaliated by writing, “SNL hasn’t been funny in a long time.” They mock themselves.
The quintessential Elon, never afraid to express his emotions to his millions of fans.
The way Musk was portrayed in the show wasn’t popular with everyone. One viewer called the sketch “really poor” and attacked the politics of the show, stating: “Making fun of high functioning Asperger’s is so typical of the mentally ill left,” alluding to the diagnosis Musk made public when he hosted Saturday Night Live four years ago.
The X citizen journalism account Autism Capital, which is well-known for its frequent interactions with Elon Musk, also voiced its thoughts about the sketch.
“This flavor is so really awful. Wow. Just rude, never humorous. The user wrote, “It was born out of hate, not humor.”
Elon’s supporters have joined him in denouncing the skit as “mean” and “fueled by hatred,” but some are less forgiving. Some Twitter users have made fun of Musk by making snarky remarks like “Boo hoo crybaby” and even a crying cat meme, which undoubtedly didn’t lift Musk’s spirits.
Musk was even reminded by one commenter, “Did you not host a few years ago? It bothers you that they made fun of you.
Myers’ criticism of Musk appears to be ongoing, particularly in light of his involvement with the Trump administration.
However, based on Musk’s response, it appears that whenever the next cartoon airs, we may expect more Twitter tirades. A fresh episode of Saturday Night Live seems to be incomplete without a little Musk drama!
