The travel industry needs to better accommodate curvy passengers, as well-known plus-size travel influencer Emily Jones has stated.

Jones, who frequently travels between Malta, the UK, and Helsinki, utilizes her position to offer advice on how hotels and airlines can better accommodate all passengers, regardless of size, and make their journeys more comfortable.
Jones’s activism is a part of a larger effort to encourage inclusion in the travel industry.
She shares her travels on Instagram under the handle @miss__jones, inspiring people of all shapes and sizes to travel the world.

“I want to make travel easy for people of all shapes and sizes and give them the impression that they deserve to travel the world like everyone else,” she says. In her ideal world, the travel media would reflect larger people, fostering a friendly and secure environment for all.
Jones suggests that airlines make a big difference by announcing that seatbelt extensions are available while passengers are boarding. According to her experiences and messages she gets online, she notes that plus-size travelers have a lot of anxiety when they ask for a seatbelt extension. According to her, “it would be a dream come true to see this de-stigmatized so people can travel comfortably and without the added anxiety.” Additionally, Jones draws attention to how uncomfortable airline seats are for larger travelers. She supports larger sitting options or, at the very least, the addition of adjustable armrests and more cushioning. All passengers, regardless of body size, would be able to enjoy a more comfortable flight thanks to these modifications.

In addition to air travel, Jones emphasizes the need for improved hotel accommodations. She says that hotel chains should provide plus-sized bathrobes and larger towels because these small adjustments can make plus-size visitors feel much more at home and welcome.
In addition to sharing her pleasant experiences, Jones acknowledges the difficulties plus-size travelers confront. She also mentions that the Seychelles in Africa were among the most inviting and inclusive destinations she had ever been to, providing a friendly atmosphere for larger travelers.
