After Heath Ledger’s untimely death, a number of actors, including Johnny Depp, were kind enough to give a present to Heath Ledger’s kid.
Surprisingly, Ledger passed away in his New York apartment at the age of 28. He was most known for his work in films such as “The Dark Knight,” “Brokeback Mountain,” and “10 Things I Hate.” An accidental overdose was determined to be the cause of his death at a later time.
His small daughter Matilda Rose, whom he welcomed for the first time in 2005 alongside fellow actor Michelle Williams, whom he had met on the production of Brokeback Mountain the previous year, is the only person who survived him.
A large number of Ledger’s A-list friends came together to look out for Matilda after the news of her passing sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry.

In order to accomplish this, Johnny Depp would have to perform a very generous gesture. He had previously promised to donate his income from the film The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, which was released in 2009. It was one of two projects that were released after Ledger’s death, along with The Dark Knight, and the fantasy film was the final production that he would ever star in.
Co-stars Colin Farrell and Jude Law also made a commitment to donate their earnings to the child, so Depp was not the only actor to make such a large gift to the child, who was just two years old at the time.
Matilda would eventually inherit the actor’s estate, which is rumoured to be over twenty million dollars (or fifteen million pounds), after Ledger’s family freely handed it to her. This would occur despite the fact that Matilda is more than financially secure for the rest of her life.
In spite of the fact that she is now 19 years old, Matilda mostly avoids the public eye and is thought to reside in New York City with her mother.
While this was going on, Ledger’s career as an actor was solidified when he starred alongside Christian Bale in the hit film The Dark Knight, which was directed by Christopher Nolan and released in 2008. He would go on to win a number of honours for his performance as Joker, including the Oscar for “Best Supporting Actor,” the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award, and the Golden Globe Award.
Michael Caine even admitted that he was horrified after watching Ledger in action as the Clown Prince of Crime for the first time. This is just one example of how Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker would have a lasting influence on their careers.

“Absolutely floored me the first time I saw him in action – I was terrified,” In his biography, titled Don’t Look Back, You’ll Trip Over: My Guide to Life, Caine, who portrayed the role of Alfred Pennyworth in the trilogy, recognised some of his shortcomings.
“We were all terribly shocked, and it made doing the publicity for The Dark Knight that summer much more intense, because all the journalists wanted to talk about his death,” he explained further.
“The very thought of it still brings tears to my eyes… This is a performance that will live on in history.
