Greenland Responds to Trump’s Land Acquisition Desire with a Bold Reply

Greenland has responded to Donald Trump’s assertions that he will seize their homeland “one way or the other,” even though they say the people living there are “incredible people.”

In a speech to Congress on Tuesday, March 4, President Trump disclosed that Vladimir Putin has sent the United States “strong signals” for peace and described a letter he got from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy while the European conflict continues.

The 47th President also delivered a rather perplexing speech with a message for the people of Greenland.

“If you choose, we welcome you into the United States of America,” Trump declared.

“For both domestic and even global security, Greenland is essential.

And we’re trying to acquire it by working with all the parties involved. However, for global security, we truly need it.

In spite of appearing to give ‘the amazing people of Greenland’ the opportunity to ‘choose [their] own future,’ Trump said, “And I think we’re going to get it – one way or the other, we’re going to get it.”

The president’s final words were, “We’ll protect you.” We’ll enrich you. And we’ll work together to take Greenland to new heights you never imagined.

“It’s a very small population but very, very large piece of land and very, very important for military security.”

The prime minister of Greenland, Mute Egede, has since responded to Trump’s remarks with a brief, witty 10-word statement.

It is not our desire to be Americans,” he stated. Greenland belongs to us.

“We are Greenlanders and do not wish to be Americans or Danes,” he continued.

“The leaders and people of the United States need to realize that. You can’t just take us; we’re not for sale. In Greenland, we make the decisions about our future.

Greenland has been a part of the Danish Kingdom since the 18th century. In January, after a “fiery” call with the prime minister of Denmark, Trump told reporters, “I think we’re going to have it.” People, I believe, want to join us.

It’s for the defense of the free world, so I’m not sure what claim Denmark has to it, but if they didn’t let that happen, it would be a really hostile act.

“I believe we’ll win Greenland because it relates to global freedom.

“Aside from the fact that the United States is the one that can grant freedom, it has nothing to do with us. They’re unable to.
